The system contains an integrated IoT-based technology for regulating the passage of natural light, and advanced mechanisms to enhance durability and security. FlaShade is also available in various configurations to compliment design and enhance a buildings’ facade.

The founders sought to create a flashing system to reduce the frequency and cost of home maintenance, and enhance the quality of living environments in an unparalleled way. The team of skilled professionals leveraged their expertise to combine the principles of design, modern technology, and versatility, to create a multi-faceted barrier system. FlaShade fulfills the function of traditional systems, while offering a number of additional solutions, making it a stand-out addition to the flashing industry.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

FlaShade seamlessly seals the gaps between windows and external building walls using composite sheets, magnetically attached to the external perimeter of windows. The rigid mechanism ensures the system prevents water permeation, mould, and structural damage to the building.

The composite sheets have a transparent surface, and are finished with a stainless-steel coating. They are available in single, double, and four-sided variations to fit a wide-range of window sizes. The composite sheets contain integrated movable smart blades, that adjust to the time of day and position of sunlight, resulting in the optimal passage of natural light. The blades may also be adjusted to prevent light flow, and create the desired amount of shade.

An additional component of FlaShade’s system are rails integrated with a technology to deter and act against forced entry and/or damage. The rails are embedded around the structure, and if cut or broken, the system can alert the owner, sound an alarm, or operate in conjunction with an existing automated security system.

As such, the composite sheets can be created in a spherical, rail, or straw formation to suit a number of traditional or contemporary designs.
